After our few days on the
island of Cozumel, and it was WAYYYY too few days, we crossed the channel
to our new temporary home on the beach near the Mayan ruins of Tulum. In
Mayan, the city was called Zamas, which means dawn. Funny thing about the
right coast, the sun rises and sets backwards from what we see on the left
coast! Here are some pix of our place on the beach.
This is the beach. You can see our hut out there.
Here's the restaurant, bar and office. The bartender
is also the waitress and concierge!
This was our hut on the beach: two rooms and
a porch with hammocks.
